My name is Gema (pronounced hem-ah). I’m an empathetic, curious, and collaborative UX Researcher passionate about creating inclusive and impactful product outcomes.
My journey in user research began at the National Immigrant Justice Center, where I conducted investigative research into human rights abuses stemming from federal policies. Working cross-functionally with attorneys, litigation, and policy teams, I leveraged interviews and open government laws to obtain information that developed effective case strategies. Honing my research, communication, and data visualization abilities, I discovered I had a talent for amplifying and translating client needs into actionable case strategies and victories.
Today, I bring that same dedication to the world of UX Research. As a UX Researcher, I focus on understanding and amplifying the user experience to deliver clear insights to stakeholders. I bridge the gap between users and decision-makers, empowering them to make user-centric decisions and create products that have a meaningful impact.
A Glimpse of Joy!
When I am not preparing for studies, I find intentional ways to engage my senses through movement, travel, and new experiences.
